Is the cricut cutter worth buying or is it one of those things that chills in your closet??

Depends, it is a huge investment but will you use it. Are you the scrapbooker who uses a lot of letters and die cuts? Then by all means it will probably be worth it. I have even found a few scrapbook stores in my area that rent the cartridges versus buying them and that saves some money over the long run. I have the smaller cricut and it comes with the George Font and Shapes enough to get started.
I am not a huge scrapbook person but with kids and I all doing scrapbooking it does get used. I also like that I can make cards one it.
FYI I looked on ebay before buying at the store and with shipping I was paying the same $ 190. for the smaller one and that is what Hobby Lobby had them in the stores for.
