Hi, thank you for watching! In this video I show how to cut letters with a shape cricut cartridge. The letters are not shown on the Cricut overlay. These letters will be page title on a 12×12 scrapbook layout. I use the Cheerful Seasons Cartridge by Provocraft and Creative Memories. I show how to cut the lettering for the word “boy”. I cut a shadow and the top layer. I also cut an apple with a shadow to go behind the o. I use the Basic Font and Basic Font Shadow function keys. Cheerful Font and Cheerful Font letters and shapes can be the same way as this video, but using a different function key. The shadow is a green cardstock, 12×12, then cut to 12×3. The green striped paper is a pattern paper from the Cheerful Seasons Power Palette by Creative Memories that co-ordinates with this cartridge. The green stripe paper is also a photo paper, I created the paper from the Digital kit. The apple pattern paper is from the CM Croptoberfest paper kit. The apple border on the page is also from this kit. The Dial Size is 1.5″ for the letters. The apples is cut at 2″. B and Y are larger letters in the alpha set, so they will be about 1.5″ in height. The o will be about 1″ in size. I cut the o for boy from the apple pattern paper. The small detail in the paper works great. The apple is also cut from the Croptoberfest apple paper.
